Kwara closes the job portal after 8,000 applications in 48 hours.




The Kwara State Garment Factory received 8,373 applications in less than 48 hours, so it closed the application portal it had launched to hire 300 production staff.


The management of the new government corporation, according to a statement from Government House, stated that the job application portal was stopped because more people than anticipated applied for the position.


This answer has impressed us and demonstrates how eager and thrilled people are to work with us. However, due to the volume of applications already received, we are forced to close the portal before the earlier date.


After the portal opened for business, we got 8,373 applications in the first 48 hours. That was quite amazing!


The statement added, "As a result, we have closed the portal to enable for comprehensive and expert screening of the applications already submitted."


The clothing factory is one of Governor AbdulRaman AbdulRazaq's priorities, according to Chief Press Secretary Rafiu Ajakaye, and is expected to begin operations in the first quarter of 2024.


The National Bureau of Statistics estimated that 4.1% of Nigerians were unemployed in August of last year, a situation the country is currently experiencing.
