Bombs detonated by illegal miners in Ibadan – Makinde

Alhaji Mohammed Musa, a survivor who lives close to the core of Tuesday's explosion that rocked major areas of Ibadan, claimed that foreigners involved in illegal mining activities were to blame for the disaster.

Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde also linked the explosion to explosives kept in storage by unauthorized miners, and President Bola Tinubu ordered security services to track down the perpetrators.

Three individuals were killed in the blast, according to Vanguard, even though the official death toll has not yet been released.

Yesterday, at the explosion site, a victim was extracted from the debris and placed in a body bag.

The terrible occurrence claimed the lives of two people, as revealed earlier by the government of Oyo State.

Additionally, a severely injured survivor was observed being wheeled into an ambulance that was waiting.

Recall that on Tuesday night, at approximately 7:44 p.m., a deafening explosion caused panic and disarray throughout the state capital.
