During the Tuesday, January 23, 2024, plenary session, he was impeached.

Using accusations of embezzlement, arrogance, and other transgressions, eighteen of the 36 members voted in favor of Oluomo's impeachment.

Oludaisi Elemide was duly elected as the new Speaker by the Assembly after the impeachment.
