PORTAL FOR LAND REGISTRATION LAUNCHED BY SANWO-OLU

Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

The computerized Geographic Information System, the state's land management system, was presented by Lagos State Governor Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

This occurs along with the state government starting to electronically register state lands.

At the Friday event, the governor said that the portal's launch was a component of his administration's plans to boost state enterprise.

In addition to enabling residents to register their lands from the comfort of their homes, pay all required fees online, obtain their title document, and apply for a Certificate of Occupancy among other registrations, he said the portal will reduce all forms of manual registration and do away with the need for applicants to physically appear at lands bureau offices.

Additionally, this will remove the needless money that candidates waste on a number of stages in the application process, he continued.

The era of missing or hidden data is over, he added. "Therefore, it is critical to highlight that innovative automated process has transited land transactions in digital format, integrating them into our registry and as a result transactions significantly reduce and save costs."

"Everything will be accessible digitally."

Additionally, this would promote cooperation amongst government entities, according to Sanwo-Olu.

Thus, we think that information that is useful starts to appear in our different offices. As a result, the portal's debut gives our valued clients the ability and right to utilize our services.

"It offers a safe shopping cart experience, self-serve options, simple online record and data search, and the capacity to evaluate websites, evaluate traffic on websites, and identify trends through traffic. By monitoring reports on the back end, it is possible to conduct an audit of these websites and determine how well a new customer can take advantage of a special, first-rate service, as well as the chance to monitor application progress, leave comments, and get prompt feedback on complaints.
