SOLUDO IS CAUTIONED BY THE FORMER LG BOSS NOT TO CONFRONT MONARCHS.

Governor Chukwuma Soludo has been advised by eminent Anambra elder statesman Chief Rommy Okoli to steer clear of needless confrontations with the state's traditional and religious leaders.

Former local government chairman Okoli voiced worries about the current verbal spat between the church, traditional rulers, and Soludo's administration.

Speaking with reporters in Awka on Thursday, Okoli claimed that the insults diverted attention away from talking about measures to enhance the welfare of the populace.

"The Anambra events are no longer acceptable." The media is no longer talking about our people's well-being. Before it descends into chaos, this needs to be checked," he remarked.

Okoli counseled Soludo to assume complete control and prevent propagandists and appointees from inciting unrest throughout the state.

He said that recordings purportedly depicting the demolition of companies in illegal areas were detrimental to Anambra's advancement and reputation.

The government and the church, as well as the government and traditional authorities, have engaged in confrontations. Videos of enterprises they claim are operating in prohibited areas have also been shown.

This is detrimental to our state's reputation. It is detrimental to our state's advancement. To maintain the peace and quiet we are regaining, we need good and constructive interaction," he stated.

The senior statesman advised Soludo to stay focused, pointing out that Anambra had always appreciated politics free of violence.

Rather of fighting for additional development in the state, Okoli suggested Soludo work with federal MPs such as Ifeanyi Ubah, Tony Nwoye, and Victor Umeh.

"The general public adores these well-meaning individuals. Let love rule," he uttered.

Okoli urged Soludo to assume complete control and prevent propagandists from inciting needless confrontations with reputable organizations.
