JUST IN: GOVERNOR AIYEDATIWA FIRES LATE AKEREDOLU'S AIDES AND DISSOLVES THE CABINET

The State Executive Council was disbanded on Wednesday with immediate effect by Lucky Aiyedatiwa, the governor of Ondo State.

All commissioners and special advisers were instructed by Aiyedatiwa to turn over their positions right away to the top public officers in charge of their respective ministries.

In a statement released by Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, his chief press secretary, the governor of Ondo stated that Aiyedatiwa was grateful for the executive members' service to the state.

All Cabinet members are required to turn themselves over right away to the Permanent Secretaries or the senior administrative officers in their respective offices, per the press release.

Furthermore, effective immediately, all Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) and Special Assistants (SAs) have been relieved of their responsibilities. It is mandated that all impacted officials turn over any federal property they own.

"The affected officials are appreciated for their services and contributions to the State's development," the governor said.
