A 22-year-old graduate of Computer Education from the University of Ibadan, Ayomide Adelanwa has emerged winner of the Innov8 Hackathon 2025, with his genius invention to bridge learning and teachers’ workforce gap in Nigeria.
Hosted by Amborion Consulting LLC, a United States-based firm, the hackathon provided a platform for young Nigerian tech professionals to develop real-world solutions through innovation and collaboration.
The participants worked in teams to create technology-driven solutions in various fields, including climate change, data analysis, agriculture, and stock management, among others.
Ayomide Adelanwa clinched the top spot with his groundbreaking project, GetHired, an innovative technology platform designed to bridge the gap between private schools in Nigeria and qualified teachers.
His invention seeks to address the ongoing shortage of qualified educators, which has been exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to the inventor, the technological ingenuity is also targeted at addressing the shortage of qualified teachers, which has led to a declining student performance and a widening skills gap in the workforce.
The invention, GetHired is an innovative recruitment platform tailored to the educational sector, providing a seamless matchmaking process between schools and qualified teachers and is set to revolutionize the hiring process in the Nigerian education sector.
The hackathon had a distinguished panel of Nigerian and international judges, including Akinyemi Iledare, Senior Program Manager at Amazon USA, Itunu Taiwo, Business Manager at American Airlines, Erhiga Ighomuaye, Risk and Financial Advisor, and Ere Iriakuma, a Business Intelligence Expert, Sumit Gupta, Tosin Ojo, Solomon Effiom among others.
The judging criteria focused on creativity, technical complexity, usability, and the potential impact of the solutions presented.

Durosinmi Quadri, a 24-year-old final-year Pharmacy undergraduate from Obafemi Awolowo University, secured the second position with PharmaBin, an innovative pharmaceutical waste management solution.
Quadri’s PharmaBin is a digital platform designed to tackle the pressing issue of pharmaceutical waste mismanagement in Nigeria. It connects households with nearby community pharmacies for the safe and efficient disposal of expired or unused medications.
Meanwhile, Kolawole Emmanuel, a 25-year-old Computer Science graduate from Kebbi State University of Science and Technology, secured third place with Cliquo, an innovative influencer marketing platform.
His invention is a unified platform designed to streamline collaborations between brands and influencers. Many companies struggle to find the right influencers, negotiate fair pricing, and establish clear contracts. It solves this issue by providing a structured system for negotiation, contract management, and campaign execution, building trust in Nigeria’s growing digital economy.
