WHAT CAUSED YOUTUBE TO REMOVE TB JOSHUA'S CHANNEL, WHICH HAD OVER 500,000 SUBSCRIBERS?

The internet video sharing platform has removed the late Nigerian televangelist Temitope Balogun Joshua's YouTube page.

This comes after the late preacher was accused in a BBC documentary of physical and sexual abuse.

The BBC and Open Democracy reported the channel, which boasted over 500,000 subscribers and hundreds of millions of views, for allegedly breaking the rules of the platform.

Emmanuel TV was "terminated for violation of YouTube's Terms of Service," according to the video-sharing website.

The BBC examined Emmanuel TV's online presence as part of their investigation into TB Joshua's activities at his Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), and they discovered at least 50 “abusive” videos on YouTube.

The YouTube account was suspended on January 29th after the team reported the videos to the platform.

Remember how victims of TB Joshua's purported sexual exploitation described how they were reportedly coerced into silence and silenced?

This is happening in the interim when Emmanuel TV left MultiChoice on January 17, 2024, along with Dstv, GOtv, and other pay-TV services.

The televangelist is accused by the ladies who were followers of TB Joshua of molesting and sexually abusing them.

TB Joshua allegedly told the women he was abusing them sexually in order to save them, according to the BBC.

According to a woman going by the name Abisola, she spent 14 years in the church and was raped every single time.
The women were made to undergo abortions in a filthy clinic inside the synagogue after becoming pregnant as a result of what they claimed to have been repeated rapes.

The documentary also revived the debate over the collapse of SCOAN's guesthouse in September 2014, exposing the church's attempt to conceal structural flaws in the facility through witness accounts.

It further stated that victims' relatives were purportedly promised monetary compensation in exchange for a vow to keep quiet to the media.

According to the BBC, victims' mutilated bodies were discovered beneath the debris, and dead bodies were purportedly moved into SCOAN ambulances to keep the press from learning about the tragedy and preserve TB Joshua's and the church's reputations.

On June 5, 2021, TB Joshua passed away from an unspecified cause. Evelyn, his spouse, was designated as the church's leader and heir.
